Sauk Village Finance Department Meeting Report - January 24, 2017

The Finance department had submitted Cops grant reimbursement request to DOJ in the amount of $11,222.42 for the period 10/1/01/2016-12/31/2016 and was reimbursed by DOJ on 01/09/2017.

 Also received on 01/03/2017 TIF#2 and TIF# Village Administration fee reimbursement from Amalgamated Bank in the amount of $236,386.44.   The Finance department is in the process of billing the remaining Administration fee soon.

Financial/Collector’s report for September, October and November 2016 were completed.  December, 2016 report will be completed soon.

The Finance department has submitted Cops grant reimbursement request to DOJ in the amount of $10,734.12 for the period of 07/01/2016-09/30/2016.



Finance department has completed Treasurers Report for the period 2015.2016.  Will be publishing on Sauk Village’s web and also sending today the report to both Cook and Will counties.



Financial/Collector’s report for August & September 2016 will be completed soon.

The Finance department has hired a Part-Time Accountant.  The Part-Time Accountant is Mr. Trey Jackson, who is a resident of Village of Sauk Village.  He has a BS degree in Accountancy from Urbana-Champaign UOI.  He is already on board and started on September 6, 2016 with Finance department.  Please join me in welcoming him to Sauk Village staff.



The DECO grant report for B-Boxes and Fire Hydrants will be completed before the end of September, 2016.



Financial/Collector’s report for May and June, 2016 is ready and soon July, 2016 report will be completed. 



MFT Audit staff from State of Illinois-IDOT/Audit Company-Baker Tilly will be here on September 15, 2016 at 10.30am will be here all day that day.  Mr. Kevin Weller will assist me in responding to Auditor’s questions if any.  They are conducting audit of Fiscal year 2013/2014.



I’ll be attending Enterprise Zone meeting/conference in October 5-7,2016 which is going to be held in Rock Island.

Sauk Village Position Announcement (Exempt)



Half-Time Accountant


 
Village of Sauk Village, is a local municipal Government, located in south suburban Cook and Will Counties.
 

The Village is accepting applications for a half-time Accountant.  The position pays $24,000 annually. Hours are flexible.



Minimum Requirements:


  1. Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education.
  2. Two (2) of years of experience in accounting and or finance or equivalent experience is required. Any combination of education and experience will be considered.

Sauk Village Finance Department Report - March 8, 2016

  • The Finance dept. has transferred back borrowed funds from CN in the amount of $200,000/-as well as Water/Sewer Fund Account in the amount of $350,000/- on 03/07/2016.
  • The Finance is already preparing for next year’s audit 2015/2016 which will be ending on 04/30/2016.
  • Residents can view the 2014/2015 Audit on the Sauk Village website www.saukvillage.org
  • We have started receiving the first tax levy collection, which was due to Cook County on 03/01/2016.

Sauk VIllage Finance Department Report - February 23, 2016

The Finance dept. has uploaded the TIF1, 2, 3 & 4 Illinois Comptroller’s report for the fiscal year 2014/2015. The Finance dept. will also upload Cook County Debt Disclosers info soon on the Cook County web site.


 
The department will also need a transfer from CN Account in the amount of $100,000.00 to pay current benefits.  The reason for transfer is we can’t access Illinois Funds/US Bank as there are some issues with log-ins.  The borrowed will be paid back once we get the Tax Levy from Cook County.

  • Village will apply for $35,000/Street Light Grant Program with ICE 
  • The Village has uploaded State Comptroller’s AFR of Audit 2014/2015
  • The Village has uploaded Single Audit called OMB-A-133 report to Federal Clearing House
  • The TIF reports will be submitted to Illinois State Comptrollers soon
  • The Village’s financial report for the months of Dec. 2015 and Jan. 2016 will be completed soon
  • The department is working on with the 2016/2017 budget and will be wrapping up soon.

Finance Department Report - January 12th



FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT

 
  • Village of Sauk Village Finance Department has filed DECO Quarterly report ending 11/30/2015-B Boxes and Fire Hydrants grant
  • Village will be filing soon the ICE grant final report for $35,000/- grant.
  • Village is going to wrap up soon the audited financial report for the year 04/30/2015.
  • Village Finance department is working with Village Administrator to save some postage-cost cutting measures-by eliminating mailing of Water shut-off notice by including shut-off date in the regular water bills.  No more shut-off notices issued.
  • Finance department is working with many Banks that provides more services than we currently receive.

Sauk Village Finance Director's Report - December 8, 2015


The villages annual audit will be wrapped up before the deadline and reported to appropriate authorities. The administration fees were billed to amalgamated bank for TIF 2 and 3 in the amount of $193,000.00. There is a shortage of approximately $57,000.00 in revenues for general fund.
