Village Administrator/Director of Public Safety Report
November 10, 2015
REPORT PERIOD: 10/27/2015 – 11/09/2015

Blue Print Partners group continues to work toward diminishing blight in Sauk Village. Membership partners continue to added new departments when it becomes obvious how their responsibilities ties into this effort.

The Fire Department respond to various emergencies with fires being their main priorities. They will be added to help determine when utilities to structures need to be turned off as well as make other recommendations that they think are appropriate.

Public Works is being added because of their responsibilities center around most aspects of dwellings and their surroundings. Examples are streets, water, lights and etc.

Everyone knows what the police department does and at any rate the chief will provide updates on his participation.

In this effort, we continue to be amazed about the number of issue being found relative to the correlation between Crime, vacant properties and water issues. Examples will probably be provided.

Administrative Director Jasinski will explain her effort with the Blue Print Plan in addition to her added responsibilities.

UIC Department of Public Administration, College of Planning and Public Affairs is offering state and local government the opportunity to Submit project that agencies identify as major areas where outside help would be of great assistance.

I will be submitting a request for their assistance and, if accepted they will assign a team of students to come out and evaluate our blight problem and provide us with their recommendation. Their PA Capstone Course provides MPA students with a practical team based experience in problem- solving within public or nonprofit organizations. There will be no cost to Sauk Village.
